Valtellina has 110 alpine lakes, 220 mountain streams and 24 reservoirs that make for 1250 kilometers of fishable water. This makes it a fly fishing destination where you could easily spend weeks and not have fished all the waters. Located at the North / North-East side of lake Como, this valley is perfect to combine with some holiday time.
Fly fishing is at it's best in the spring and summer months. Do note that in the summer people go swimming in some parts of the more easy accessible rivers, so you might have to wander around or get help from a local guide to find the right spots.
