Meet Pete Buckey, a full-time fly fishing guide dedicated to helping people catch wild fish. Pete, a licensed coach in Game Angling, holds a clear DBS certificate and a current First Aid certificate, ensuring a safe and rewarding experience for all participants. Operating primarily in the UK, Pete's focus is on the chalk stream rivers in the South of England, with an increasing demand for guiding across Wales, Derbyshire, and Yorkshire. Pete's passion is evident, spending much of his free time fishing the freestone rivers in Wales, a pastime that never feels like work to him​.
At Wild Fly Fishing, we believe in quality over mere qualifications. Our guides are not only fully certified but are trusted individuals we consider as friends. They are seasoned anglers, capable of leading you to the fish, even when conditions prove challenging. We ensure that you get the most out of your day in a fun, friendly, and relaxed manner. Our guides consistently demonstrate a varied approach to enhance your fishing experience and we don't use 'guides' just because they hold the necessary certificates. Our goal is to help you enjoy a great day on the water, under the guidance of individuals we fully trust and respect.
