Floatant

Floatant

When fishing dry flies, it’s essential to have two different types of floatant at hand.

For a fly that is still completely dry, use a liquid or gel floatant to create a coating on the feathers, hair, and other fibers that will repel water.

If the fly becomes waterlogged and stops floating properly, use a dry desiccant powder. After squeezing out excess moisture, apply the powder and you're ready to go again.
