The Oostvoornse Meer (or OVM for short) is a half freshwater, half saltwater lake where you can fly fish for brown trout, rainbow trout, turbot and more.
Maybe this is the place that many don't realize exists: a place where you can fly fish for massive brown trout and rainbow trout, in the Netherlands.
The closed month is November. During the summer months, especially when it's really hot, there's lots of weeds on the water and you're better of fly fishing the harbors of Rotterdam (on a 10 minute drive from the Oostvoornse Meer) for sea bass.
